J. H. Jafri
A scholarly trailblazer, Advocate J.H. Jafri was admitted to the bar in the year 1983, having an umbrella practice all over the lower courts, High Courts as well as the Apex Court. With a gargantuan practice expanding over 43 years, he has been extensively involved in thousands of litigations both as a Civil and a Criminal Trial lawyer. He has dealt with cases of myriad nature such as suits, write petitions, appeals, SLP’s etc. He has been a Panel Council for the Delhi University, Union of India, Delhi Development Authority, United States Educational Foundation in the Delhi High Court. A senior arguing council in the Supreme Court of India for the central government. He has been a special council for the state of Haryana in all their matters in both the High Court as well as the lower courts in Delhi. Coming from a distinguished background of eminent educationists, and being inclined towards teaching, he has been a visiting faculty for a period of ten years in Delhi University, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies and the prestigious CBI Academy, Ghaziabad. Presided over numerous moot competitions organized by various universities across the country. Apart from being an ardent proponent of law, he is a globe trotter, an alumni of USIA (United States Information Agency) visitor’s program in the year 1999. He is affiliated to the Delhi Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar Association, Delhi High Court Bar Association. He has also been a co-opt member for the Delhi Bar Council and also part of the Election Commission for the Delhi Bar Association as well.
