Diwan Advocates has a long-standing commitment to the development and delivery of legal services to people of limited means. We believe that the firm has maintained its remarkable pro bono momentum by developing an incredibly diverse range of opportunities for our volunteers. To this end, we provide our services free of charge/pro bono, for the public good, for a wide range of clients, from individual asylum seekers to some of the big charities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). The treatment given to our pro bono clients in the same standards as we take care of our fee-earning clients; for, we owe them the same professional duties. Where cases require cross-practice, cross-border support, we bring together teams from as many disciplines and offices as needed. We partner with advice centres and other local charities to deliver advice and, where appropriate, representation to individuals in need. Our work in this area is focused around the Rule of Law mainly.
