Sejal Pruthi is an
Associate in the Intellectual Property Rights Department at Diwan Advocates,
having joined the firm in August 2025. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Political Science (Honours) from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, and
an LL.B. from O.P. Jindal Global University.
Her practice primarily
focuses on trademark prosecution, brand protection, and intellectual property
advisory. She regularly appears before the Trade Marks Registry and assists in
matters before the Intellectual Property Office and other statutory forums,
while also supporting IP matters that may proceed to judicial forums.
Sejal adopts a
detail-oriented and research-driven approach to legal practice, with an
emphasis on delivering practical, timely, and commercially sound solutions. She
believes that effective IP representation requires a clear understanding of a
client’s business objectives alongside strong legal strategy.
She is particularly
motivated by the role intellectual property law plays in protecting creativity,
innovation, and brand value in an increasingly competitive marketplace. One of
her most meaningful professional experiences has been independently handling
trademark prosecution matters, including making submissions before the Trade
Marks Registry, which has strengthened her practical understanding of IP law.
Outside work, Sejal
enjoys reading, creative pursuits, and reflective learning. She values
consistency, integrity, and continuous learning, and appreciates Diwan
Advocates’ legacy in intellectual property law, its collaborative environment,
and the opportunity to learn under experienced practitioners.
