Dr. M. A. Ibrahimi
Dr. M.A. Ibrahimi joined prestigious Indian Administrative Services in 1978 where he, while working with various governmental departments, attained specialisation in corporate affairs, industrial development, textiles, handicrafts, handlooms, rural development, poverty alleviation programmes, development of industrial infrastructure, development of small scale industrial units, management of large industries both in public sector and in joint sector with some of the giant industrial companies of India. Dr. M.A. Ibrahimi served more than three decades holding various important positions in the Government of Bihar and Union Government. He had served as District Magistrate for four districts of Bihar and Divisional Commissioner as well. He also held the charge of Vice chancellor of Bhagalpur University and acted as the Managing Director (Additional Secretary to Govt. of India) of the Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India (CCIC) under the Ministry of Textiles. He worked as an advisor to Union of Public Service Commission where he was on the interview Board for selection of IAS, IFS, IRS, IPS and other Civil Service Officers. At the time of retirement he was working in Govt. of Bihar in the rank of Chief Secretary which is equivalent to the rank of Secretary to Govt. of India. Dr. M.A. Ibrahimi is Working President of Association of Business Chambers of Commerce & Industry. He has immense contribution towards the academic activities, social development, communal harmony, human rights and management consultancy. He is also on the panel of Arbitrators of Indian Arbitration council and in this capacity has presided over several national and international Arbitral Tribunals. He is also a regular writer on the issues relating to governance, education, political affairs, art and culture. He is enrolled as an Advocate with Delhi Bar Council. Post retirement Dr. M.A. Ibrahimi joined Diwan Advocates as Special Counsel. He is involved in most aspects of the firm’s practice, but has focused most intensively on the business and environmental aspects of energy and related infrastructure. His work at firm encompass advising business clients on their most significant legal affairs, including laws relating to banking and securities; corporate finance; mergers and acquisitions; employment; insurance; litigation; media; and oil and gas. He is seasoned in operational and financial analysis, business strategy and planning, and establishing policies, processes, and performance monitoring systems in achieving desired goals.
