Mr. Nasir Comes from a non-legal background and has done his graduation in B.E (Mech), after completing his graduation has entered into industry practice where he has almost more than 20 years’ experiencein different profiles and varied verticals. He is an enthusiastic and a creative professional with excellent organizational and communication skills. Mr. Nasir has joined Diwan Advocates as an Consultant IPR, for handling the matters related to IPR, he has diversified Intellectual Property Exposure (IPR) exposure in India and abroad. Before Joining Diwan Advocates, Mr. Nasir was engaged in to a work of Projects and contracts management for various organizations where he worked, Nasir has also assisted employer in Middle-east in establishing an operating office with R&D facility in partnership with KFUPM (university) which involved resolution of various aspects related to IP rights of OEM (technology company) and the university.
He has immense experience in delivering IP services to the clients by taking following actions,discussing inventions and processing with inventors or manufacturers and ascertain whether they’re likely to succeed in being granted patents;analyses scientific or technical documents, including previously granted patents, to assess whether an invention is new and innovative;writing detailed descriptions of inventions in precise legal terms (patent drafts)suggest modifications or extensions to the definition of the invention;apply for patents from the concerned authority (patent office); prepare responses to reports from patent examiners;ensure application and renewal deadlines are met;work with solicitors and attorneys to defend or enforce patent; advise overseas attorneys on applications for foreign patent applications;instruct on whether business activities will infringe someone else’s patent rights;deal with assignments of patent when a patent is sold or transferred;advise on other intellectual property rights, e.g. designs or trade marks.
